Our Pheasant population is apparently down from last year. Spring rains provided much needed relief from the drought we've experienced the last few years. and Quail appear to be increasing again this year. OPENING WEEKEND 2007 was difficult with hot & dry conditions and most grain crops not harvested. 

 
A Full Day's Hunting Upland Birds with Wild Wings Lodge Guide and English Pointers, is limited to 8 Hunters and 8 guests at the Lodge! A Combo Hunt including Geese can   also be arranged.

Sandhill Cranes

We now have the opportunity to hunt Sandhill cranes on our property .In the past only a small portion of the state was open to crane hunting, now most of western Kansas allows crane hunting. A large number of cranes are again expected to stop over at Kirwin. In 2007 they arrived around the l1st. 2 weeks in October.
